Dr. Eleanor Zeitlen Avinor Selected for IAOTP’s Empowered Woman of the Year
Dr. Eleanor Zeitlen Avinor, Marriage and Family Therapist, Academic CEO of KEG International, Former Researcher and Teacher at the University of Haifa in Israel, was recently selected as Empowered Woman of the Year for 2024 by the International Association of Top Professionals (IAOTP) for her outstanding leadership, dedication, and commitment to the industry.
Inclusion with the International Association of Top Professionals is an honor in itself; only a few members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, longevity in the field, other affiliations, and contributions to their communities. All Honorees are invited to attend the IAOTP annual award gala at the end of this year for a night to honor their achievements.
Dr. Avinor is widely recognized as one of the most influential psychotherapists of her time. She has devoted over 30 years of her talent and expertise to the field of psychotherapy. Dr. Avinor has proven successful not only in her own practice but also as a respected and experienced figure in the field of psychotherapy. She is the founder of KEG Cards, which are therapy tools she designed to promote emotional growth. These cards are now widely recognized and used worldwide.
Dr. Avinor has played a crucial role in helping her clients address a wide range of issues within her practice, including family disputes, marital problems, childhood wounds, overcoming obstacles, and reducing symptoms of anxiety, depression, addiction, and eating disorders. She has established a solid trust with her clients, guiding them to uncover their authentic selves. This process results in self-acceptance, trauma resolution, personal growth, overcoming challenges, and ultimately restoring balance and harmony in all relationships.
Her impressive repertoire of prior roles included Academic CEO of KEG International, Researcher, and Educator with the University of Haifa in Israel. Aside from her day-to-day responsibilities with her practice, Dr. Avinor is also a sought-after lecturer, speaker, and published Author. She has authored papers like “Shirley: There is Not Enough” for the Psychology and Behavioral Science International Journal and has been invited to conduct workshops nationally and internationally.
Dr. Avinor received her Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Master of Arts degrees from the University of Hafia. She earned a Master of Science in Psychotherapy from the University of Derby. Her Ph.D. in Education was from the University of New Mexico, and she completed psychotherapy coursework at the School of Psychotherapy at Rambam Hospital Medical School.
Throughout her remarkable career, Dr. Avinor has received awards and has been recognized worldwide for her outstanding leadership and commitment to the profession. Last year, she was honored with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award from IAOTP. In 2022, Eleanor was honored with the prestigious title Most Influential Psychotherapist of the Year. She was privileged to be included in IAOTP’s 50 Fearless Leaders publication and featured in TIP Magazine (Top Industry Professionals). Additionally, she was showcased on the Planet Hollywood Billboard on the famous Las Vegas Strip. In 2018, she was honored with the prestigious title of Top Psychotherapist of the Year by IAOTP. She will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award and The Empowered Woman of the Year Award from the International Association of Top Professionals at IAOTP’s awards gala 2024 at the magnificent Opryland Hotel in Las Vegas in December 2024. Dr. Avinor remains actively involved in both EABCT and USATAA. She has been featured in several prestigious publications, including Medicine and Healthcare, Who’s Who in America, and Who’s Who in the World.
