Calgary-based CDN Citrus Clean has established a partnership with Mr. Checkout Distributors, out of Florida, to fuel the company’s distribution growth across North America.
CDN Citrus Clean, which was established in 2014, provides healthy and environmentally friendly citrus-based cleaning products for household consumers. The company’s mission is to be Canada’s leader in household and industrial cleaners.
“Mr. Checkout essentially is the connector between distributors across the United States. They’re a national distributor. What they do is connect companies like mine to other distributors across the United States and then their goal is to get our products to the distributors,” said Colin George, Founder and CEO of CDN Citrus Clean.
“They educate us on how the market works, how the grocery chains work, how the distributors work. They’ve launched some of the biggest products in the United States. They get all those products to retail. They deal with literally every single store in the United States.”
CDN Citrus Clean has seven different cleaning products. This year, the sales have increased by 200% from last year.
“We’ve grown substantially in terms of revenue and grown massively in terms of distribution,” said George.
The company’s products can be found at Calgary Co-op, Buy-Low Foods, Sunterra Market, Nutters, Pharmasave, and through wholesaler Associated Grocers. The products are also sold in more than 1,500 commercial locations direct to consumer.
“Our goal is to be all over the world to let people know that Canada can have a product that’s all over the globe that’s established and it’s benefitting not only Canada but it’s around the globe and it’s impacting the environment positively,” said George. “All of our products are biodegradable, eco-friendly. So that’s huge and we want to make sure that people understand that is the way to go. Our goal is to be one of the biggest exporters in Canada.”
