African Folktales: Traditional Bedtime Stories for the Modern Kid will return for its second season on Thursday, February 4. The complete season is available to stream on all popular podcast platforms.

Just in time for Black History Month, ABF Creative launches a new season of African Folktales: Traditional Bedtime Stories for the Modern Kid, a podcast ingrained with fundamental values that are digestible and relevant to the modern child. The podcast gained popularity over the COVID-19 lockdown with parents seeking edutainment resources for children of color. The continued series will expand on the in-depth African stories that empower and uplift the minds of young children.

Listeners will enjoy episodes that combine best-in-class storytelling with African traditions that have been passed down through generations. Together, each episode fosters a unique, meaningful learning experience.

Hosted by Miss Jojo, African Folktales aims to amplify African traditions with a key focus on building positive self-worth, respecting others, tolerance, and honesty.

“African Folktales has never been as important as it is right now,” says Anthony Frasier, CEO of ABF Creative. “Our episodes are designed to motivate and inspire children, leading the shift from passive consumption to educational content that is smart and entertaining. Our mission is to enable children aged 3 to 6 years old to enjoy forward-thinking content independently.”

Each 20-minute episode will feature new lessons in a digestible format while highlighting and elaborating on significant African stories. Episodes are supplied with companion teaching resources available online and as downloadable printouts for parents and teachers.

The podcast is available now on Apple PodcastsSpotify, and wherever you get your podcasts.
