Fusion Dolls Celebrates Their Two-Year Anniversary With The Publication of Their New Book - "Angel's Hair Journey"
Fusion Dolls is a multicultural toy company on a Mission to spread diversity awareness and promote self-love and acceptance.

Brockton, Massachusetts – January 15, 2021 – Everybody knows that little girls love their dolls. But sometimes, their dolls do little for their self-image. Imagine, most little girls of color have never owned a doll that looks like them – same skin color and same type of hair. Might they wonder why all dolls are white skinned with silky hair? This is often very confusing for a young girl, isn’t she good enough to have a doll that she can relate to?

Widline Angel Pyrame, as a child, did not have dolls that looked like her, she wanted her hair to be different. Her experience growing up led her on a Mission and she founded Fusion Hair Dolls as a result of her desire to bring realistic dolls to all children of the world. In the short period of only two years in business, they have sold over 2,000 dolls. Fusion Dolls believes in giving back to the community. They have donated over 100 dolls to Haiti, over 100 dolls to the St. Mary Center for Women and Children and over 1 dozen dolls to My Brother’s Keeper.

Nothing can match the look on the face of one of these kids when they are given a doll that actually looks like they do. It does so much for their self-esteem.

Fusion Dolls was created as a platform that gives parents easy access to black dolls. They believe it is important to learn about self-love at an early age. Since most little kids tend to identify with their dolls, having a doll that looks like them can help build their confidence. Every child deserves to know they are beautiful just the way God created them. Fusion Dolls’ mission is to spread diversity, awareness, and encourage children to love themselves inside and out.

The new children’s book, “Angel’s Hair Journey”, by the founder of Fusion Dolls, Widline Angel Pyrame, actually reflects her own story growing up in Haiti. It is about Angel, a little girl from Haiti, a warm place with warm people. Angel loves her friends and family but doesn’t think her thick wooly hair is beautiful. Angel wants silky straight hair. In her quest for good hair, Angel learns that beauty is subjective. Angel’s Hair Journey takes he to the final realization that she is beautiful just as she is, and full of the power of Black Girl Magic!

During a recent interview, Widline made these comments, “I remember that the perception of self-love started to enter my mind when my uncle gave my sister and I a black doll to share. I loved that doll. Some of my first memories are of my sister and I fighting over our Barbie. That doll was special because it was the first time we had a doll that looked like us. We were so shocked to see that one existed that we just stared at her in amazement. Now I try to help girls of all hue by creating a diversity of dolls that looks like them. Empowering them to love their looks.”
